Training Speeches

Speeches for Training Room members to memorise.

2008 training speech

Number One - Shakespeare: Captain from MACBETH

If I say sooth, I must report they were
As cannons overcharged with double cracks
So they doubly redoubled strokes upon the foe;/
Except they meant to bath in reeking wounds,
Or memorize another Golgotha,
I cannot tell but I am faint,
My gashes cry for help.

2007 training speeches

Number One - Shakespeare: Friar Laurence.

These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume:/the sweetest honey
Is loathsome in his own deliciousness
And in the taste confounds the appetite:/
Therefore love moderately; long love doth so; * Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.

Number Two - Chekov: Masha

I was married when I was 18 and I was afraid of my husband because he was a teacher and I was hardly out of school. / In those days he seemed to me terribly learned, clever and important. * But now unfortunately it is different.

Number three - Shakespeare: Macbeth.

' is this a dagger..'
In japanese language to practise articulation and memory under pressure.
