 Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, in association
with Corinda State High School, proudly present Frederico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding.
As part of the Zen Zen Zo Directing
Residency, one of the company’s Teaching-Artists, Drew der Kinderen, has been working intensely
with Corinda State High School’s Year 12 Drama class on a production of Blood Wedding. This lyrical
and passionate play explores the constant struggle between what we want, and
what we must do. Characters are haunted
by the violence of their shared history, and the inevitable and tragic future
that awaits them. Written by Spanish
Surrealist poet, Frederico Garcia Lorca, Blood Wedding weaves a world where
reality and dream are blurred together.
