In December, ten Zen Zen Zo company members will be performing alongside Queensland Ballet in their last show for the year, Swan Lake. This lavish new production, set to the glorious music of Tchaikovsky, is inspired by the autobiography of ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska. Exiled in France after the Russian Revolution, she wrote an account of her life at The Imperial Ballet and her romance with Tsar Nicholas II. In their tragic story, choreographer François Klaus found parallels with the ill-fated love of the Swan Queen and Prince Siegfried.
