PERFORMANCE COMPANY/ TEACHER

GIEMA CONTINI is a teaching artist and member of the Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre Performance Company. She is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology Bachelor Creative Industries Drama degree (2006) and the Zen Zen Zo Company Internship Program (2007). She has performance training experience in Suzuki Actor Training, Viewpoints and Butoh (Zen Zen Zo / 2005-2007), Lecoq (Steph Kehoe / 2007) and Meisner Actor Training (Jamie Kable / 2007).

Her performance credits with Zen Zen Zo include Dracula (2007), Sub-Con Warrior 1 (2006) and iORPHEUS (collaboration with William Duckworth, Nora Farrell, QLD Conservatorium / 2007). She has also worked extensively with MAP Theatre Company and Switchboard Arts as part of The Emerge Project in The Professional Lover (Felicity Carpenter / 2006), Sunshine (Errol Bray / 2006), The Valley People -Seasons 1 & 2 (Errol Bray / 2005) and Yellow Roses in Fortitude Valley (Bek Schafferius / 2004). Other performance credits include Santa and The Naughty Elf (dir. Brenda Monaghan / 2006), Marat/Sade (dir. Nic Dorward / 2005), Checkov & Baise, Larly & Pie (2High Festival / 2005), Commedia del Arte…devised! (dir. Tony Kishawi / 2004) and The Convictions of Brecht (dir. Errol Bray / 2003).
