Dale Thorburn

hs_dalethorburn.jpgDALE THORBURN began training with Zen Zen Zo at the age of sixteen and has since completed the company internship program in 2008; where he performed in the Butoh dance-theatre production Zeitgeist.  His interest in Butoh saw him travel to Japan where he studied with Maro Akaji [Dairakudakan/2008]; Semimaru [Sankai Juku/2008] and Yoshito Ohno [2008].  Dale has also trained with Scott Witt [Physical comedy/Slapstick/2008]; Jorge Lopes Ramos [Butoh/Capoeira/2007] and Steph Kehoe [Lecoq/2007].  He has graduated both the Queensland Actor's Playhouse (Excellence class/2007) and the Australian Acting Academy (School of Excellence/2006).

His performance credits include: Yuhi-no-utage [Guest performer w/ Dairakudakan/2008]; Not clear, Not clear [Guest performer w/ Kokutoh-in/2008]; Zeitgeist [Zen Zen Zo/2008]; Invisible Journeys [White Wolf Theatre/2008]; Work in Progress [Fleur Elise Noble/2008]; iOrpheus [Conservatory of Music/2007]; Wings of Desire [Coolum Kite Festival w/ Strut & Fret Productions/2007]; Batavia [Map Theatre, Switchboard Arts/2005].
