Jena Prince

JENA PRINCE is a performer and teacher. She was first introduced to Zen Zen Zo in 2003 when she performed in XL-D Express: The Mayne Inheritance (dir. Christopher Beckey et. al). Since then she continued to train with the company, completing the Company Internship in 2007 with the performance of Dracula (dir. Steven Mitchell Wright). She was the Company Administrator of Zen Zen Zo from 2007 to 2009. Other theatre credits include: GAIA: The Dairakudakan Project (2009, dir. Takuya Muramatsu), Downside Up (2009, Emma Dean & Jacob Deifenbach), The Golden Show (2008, Dairakudkan), Zeitgeist (2008, dir. Lynne Bradley), WIngs of Desire (2007, Coolum Kite Festival); iORPHEUS (2007, collaboration with William Duckworth, Nora Farrell, QLD Conservatorium); Dead She Scrolls (2006, dir. Seanna Van Helton and William McBride); BUGfest (2006, Underground Productions); Spring Awakening (2006, dir. Scott Drummond); Big Hair in America (2005, dir. Katrina Torrenbeek); Blithe Spirit (2004, dir. Rebecca George); and Arthur (2004, dir. Shane Jones).

2010 sees Jena as a senior teacher with Zen Zen Zo, while continuing her studies in drama and psychology at the University of Queensland. Her first production for the year is Wendy McLeod's The House of Yes, which will be presented by Underground Productions in the Schonell Theatre (St Lucia) during the first two weeks of March.
