JUNIOR TEACHER
Krystal Hart is an emerging director, performer and installation artist. Currently a member of the Zen Zen Zo Teaching Team, she artistically strives to unearth the reality of life's fiction and excavate the horrific brutality and mesmerizing beauty that occurs between the collision of spectator and object. A recent 2008 Graduate of Q.U.T Creative Industries Drama program, Krystal has been fascinated with contemporary performance, in particular the translation of the live and mediated body on stage. As her graduating piece Please Leave your Applause at the Door Krystal collaborated with three of her fellow graduates to create an installation performance in the foyer of the Woodward theatre.
During 2008 Krystal performed, directed, and coordinated a number of festivals and fringe events in Brisbane. She directed and performed in the 2008 Metro Arts Creative Development Festival with Dear Dentist I Have a Gap in My Box; was a secondment volunteer co-ordinator for 2008 Brisbane Festival; an ASM for Barking Spider's piece Dispatch in Brisbane Festival's Under the Radar 2008; a volunteer coordinator for Exist in 08; and performed in a re-worked version of Dear Dentist I Have a Gap in My Box in the 2008 2High Festival at the Powerhouse.
