Held in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Montville where Zen Zen Zo creates all of our new works, this week-long Masterclass gives participants the chance to work in an intensive laboratory environment that involves both advanced ensemble training and the creation of new work.

True ensemble creation necessitates shared beliefs, deep awareness and mutual understanding. True creation is a strange combination of freedom and constraint, technique and imagination. Each morning will begin with high-level training in the Suzuki Method of Actor Training and the Viewpoints led by the Zen Zen Zo senior teaching team. The Masterclass week will then address the issue of how to apply these core principles to performance. The week will culminate in a unique public showing to further explore the intergration of training, creation and live performance.

The Masterclass week is recommended for actors, directors and physical theatre practitioners. This week is open only to those who have participated in the 3-week training intensive in 2008 or in past years.

There will only be 15 places in the 2008 Masterclass Week.
