This Zen Zen Zo co-production with Dairakudakan from Japan & the Deep Blue Orchestra was an innovative Contemporary Performance piece which utilised both Immersive and Intimate Theatre styles.
The Zen Zen Zo company invited an intimate audience of 4 patrons at a time to join them for a Sleepover, during which time they journeyed (on a king-sized bed!) through a surreal night of dreams, fantasies and nightmares. Each intimate audience pre-selected the tone of their night’s dreaming – playful & edgy OR sensual & sublime…
Featuring 11 Zen Zen Zo performers, 1 Dairakudakan dancer, and 4 Deep Blue Orchestra musicians, this innovative new work took intimate and immersive theatre to a whole new level!

Featuring 8 outstanding and athletic Zen Zen Zo performers, the production was performed in Zen Zen Zo’s infamous house dance-theatre style - which mixes Japanese Butoh, European Burlesque, Cabaret, comedy, contemporary dance and performance art.
WARNING: Butoh, Burlesque, loud music, partial nudity & flying food…
